Instructions

For Technical and Professional Writing, I created a set of instructions detailing how to back a car out of a driveway. Using photographs, graphic illustrations, and text, I explained this process in minute detail. Using my ability to compose a multimodal artifact, I created a document with the expressed purpose of informing an audience. The exercise was of critical importance to me as an aspiring journalist because it forced me to dispel any preconceived idea about prior knowledge and to write in a manner that left no room for error or any questions unanswered.
